Not well done. Poor quality video, even considering it's been 30+ years. Terrible edigint and worst of wall was the very poor narrating. To add insult is the exhorbitant price.

Poor quality, narration, and horrible editing. The scores don't even correspond to the games on screen. Volumes 1,3, and 4 are the same.

An American DVD, licensed by the world soccer organization FIFA, commented upon by an Englishman, and for sale in the USA -- a country where soccer hardly has any tradition.

Given this, I was plain curious to see how Reedswain DVD manages to compress three soccer-worldcups into a normal length-movie. While still providing the quality they promise on the sleeve.

Well, they manage. From 1966-1974 international soccer changes fast, introducing several new original trends. Performed by legendary players like Charlton, Pele, Cruyff and Beckenbauer. Reedswain captures the spirit, by carefully selecting all game-shots reflecting such changes & trends. With considerable skill the pictures focus on players and coaches responsible, a very to-the-point comment added. Not missing out on one single moment that sticks to the memory of every soccer-fan then alive.

This DVD's picture-quality sometimes doesn't match the level of all good filmdocumentaries on these tournaments. Its spoken comment, while being excellent in its helicopterview, sometimes goes wrong on details. For instance, by naming Dutch 1974-player Krol after his somewhat look-alike teammate Rep.

All in all a great & recommendable DVD. Due to its small flaws I grant one star less.
