This air compressor is very quiet. The only problem is that it takes forever to get 2 PSI of air in a car tire!!! I think it takes about 5-7 minutes per 1 PSI. I have not done sports equipment yet but I doubt it would take that long. So if you can wait awhile to get your car tires infated to the proper inflation then this is a good product.
