I bought these shoes based on the recommendation of a co-worker when we started a company soccer team. I have wide feet, but I typically dont have problems fitting into normal shoes. For some reason these are narrower than your typical shoe so if you have wide feet you probably want to avoid these. However, thats not my main complaint. While these shoes are stylish and comfortable to walk around in, theyre horrible soccer shoes. Ive played on two separate indoor fields and anytime I make a hard cut I slip. The other problem is that after a game my feet are sore due to the lack of arch support. I run on a regular basis and I also play basketball once a week on a hard court and Ive never had issues with sore feet.

Ive gotten a pair of these about ever year and a half since I was 11. I have wide feet and I can never find sneakers that are comfortable enough. True, they dont have a whole lot of arch support, but thats easy enough to solve with an insert if you absolutely need it.

I have to say these arent the most comfortable to walk in and they are kind of flat but these do make awsome tennis shoes if you are an avid tennis player and dont like stomping around in heavy sneakers and prefer playing with traditional flat pedals these sneakers are great. Nice, lite and flat.

Dumbest. Shoe. Ever. The SQUEAKING ruins them. Not only is it LOUD, it gets LOUDER with wear. You will sound like an IDIOT when you wear these shoes. Inside, you can hear them at least 15 yards away. Outside, unless a bus is passing by, you still hear them when you walk. Plus, the QUALITY IS BAD. The insole on the right foot is peeling away after less than 2 months. The left is mis-shapen so that my middle toe creeps to the far left of the shoe, causing severe discomfort. Mainly, THE SQUEAKING MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT. Whos that guy with the loud shoes passing me by in the hallway at school? YOU. Whos that moron whose shoes make so much noise at the gym? YOU. Whos that guy whose foot hurts b/c he tried to work out in his Sambas? YOU. I bought these so I could do martial arts, but the squeaking is just irritating and distracting (thank goodness Im not trying to be a Ninja!), and the discomfort renders them useless in a work out after about 15 minutes. OH, and did I mention that the stylish and slick blue Adidas tag on the tongue disappears as the tongue rides down to the inside of the shoe, rendering the logo invisible and the shoes even more uncomfortable?

I ordered these for my girlfriend and they fit perfectly, and are very durable. She didnt need to break them in as much as other shoes because of the solid craftsmanship. Highly recommended sneakers for everyday wear.

I have never owned some Sambas but I really liked the look of them. I thus went out on a limb and purchased a pair. I ordered my usual size (11.5) which luckily fit just fine. A lot of people have said they run small but my size fit perfectly. These shoes seem very sturdy. I am the type that has one main pair of shoes that I wear for almost everything every day. These shoes are them. Aside from very minimal wear that is showing, these shoes continue to look great and hold up well.

These are comfortable shoes, but order large if you dont have really narrow feet - I ordered a half size up, and they are still so small that I need to return them.

I like these shoes, but I dont wear them for sports or anything like that. That said, the tongue-bill on these puppies extends probably 2" farther than it should. I wear short socks most of the time and it started to take the hair off of the front of my shin. I folded them over instead of cutting them and that works just fine, but be warned: the tongue-bills are huge.

Reading some of the reviews here and I became slightly apprehensive about purchasing these shoes - at least without going to the store and trying them on. The price wasnt ridiculous so I dove in and purchased these shoes. I ordered them on a Monday and got them on Wednesday - quick, easy service - exactly what I want. The only slight complaint I have, would be the inside box which contained the shoes looked slightly used, nothing too bad. Im sure it couldve been caused by the people handling the shipment. The shoes were in perfect brand-new condition, as were the laces. This is my first pair of Sambas and certainly wont be my last . They are slightly narrow so if youre in a half size, size up. I wear a 12.5 and am really glad I sized up to a 13.

for looks only, this is a good buy but it is narrow in the toe box so dont get unless your willing to deal with pinched feet or you have a naturally narrow foot. I also think the extra long tongue is strange but my son, who wears these, thinks its cool.

Adidas is still batting 1000 with this gem. The enlarged tongue keeps itself in place and provides a bit of protection when walking. The sole is padded just enough to make it comfortable. And the price is unbeatable for the quality. I have been wearing this style of shoe since 1990 and will be wearing it in my casket. Or urn.

First off, as the name implies, these Adidas Sambas are classics. Theyve been around 40 years (probably more) and they still look fresh! In my shallowness, I bought them on looks alone for around-the-house/ casual-Fridays.
They are a bit narrow, which is great for me. But they do lack a bit in arch/ball of the foot support. Youd think that if theyre making these shoes for narrow-footed people, they would have better arch support because most people with narrow feet tend to have higher arches, right? If you have wide feet, you might want to avoid these.
As for the extra-long tongue, I have to say that I kind of like it. It makes the shoes unique. But I think if you wore low-socks, the tongue might chafe you and look funny. Also, folding the tongue down looks kind of dumb as you can see part of the sizing tag.
I found the sizing (10.5) to be pretty much right on, maybe a smidge bigger than my other Adidas. Overall though, for the price, these are a great deal! I really like these Samba Classics. They look fantastic and fit good for a casual shoe. I just wish they had a bit more support, then theyd be perfect.

Going on my fourth pair of Sambas now, I must say these are my favorite shoes Ive owned. Being a long-time fan of the soccer style of shoe, this was my pair of choice for a good everyday shoe back when I was 8 years old. This shoe offers good arch support for those long days on my feet at work.
My current pair has lasted me a decade (through High School and College). I have finally worn a hole in the heel side of the sole which lets water in if I step in a puddle, and the suede in some parts is worn smooth, but with a coat of carefully applied shoe polish, they dont look more than two or three years old.
This is definitely a timeless shoe. The colors (Black and White) never go out of style, and its nice to see this shoe being worn by more people these days.

Its a great looking shoe and comfy to wear, but order a half-size up. I wear 9.5 for most shoes, but I had to return the 9.5s I bought and get 10s.

I cant believe the overwhelmingly positive reveiws of this shoe. This shoe has no arch support. Ive played two pickup games that arent too serious and I could barely walk after each one. They abosrb no impact when you run and even though I tied them as tight as I could, blisters will still forming.
The one positive thing Ill say about them is they get much more traction them my regular sneakers on an indoor basketball floor so I can change direction better, which is part of the reason I get blisters because I cut/change direction very fast. (I get them with regular shoes, but I was hoping these would stop that)
I suppose if youre playing on grass or fake grass they might be ok but any hard surface I would avoid these sneakers. Also the extra long shoe toungue is annoying and looks bad folded down. (on the white sneakers at least)
I went back to my tennis shoes, Im getting rid of these.

I tried these on at the store to figure out my size, because like boots, these shoes vary on size compared to your Nike or Reebok. They are a little tight on the sides, but I was looking for a shoe that fit snug. Also a reason that I got them was for the arch support that they offer. Far more than most other shoes that I have bought.

What is there to say about these shoes besides the fact that theyre very comfortable, feel great (redundancy), and look good? Not much, I guess. What else do you say about shoes? Did I mention that these shoes feel great on the feet, as they would feel anywhere else? Seriously, buy a pair if youre into that whole wearing-shoes thing. $40 or so for a great pair of shoes, very good deal. I mean, you could do a lot worse; you could be spending any money at all on a pair of Crocs. (Whatever America did to deserve those, we sincerely apologize.) Anyway, wearing them with a pair of shorts is fine, but if youre vain when it comes to your legs or youre not quite ready to let your friends know that you too shave the fuzz from your legs, wear these Originals with a pair of trousers, khaki or gray, whatever youre feeling. The shoes are casually athletic, like white guys who say, "Yeah, I play soccer" but in fact have never played soccer for a recreational team and have little-to-none-at-all knowledge about the sport, but the idea sounds good. Whats better than running around on green grass, sometimes getting to kick a ball, in short shorts and a jersey, giving yourself and others the impression that youre athletic? Youre fooling everyone, dont worry. And after you wipe your forehead and throw your short bangs back, covered in sweat, after you trot over to the sideline, breathing hard, grab a towel, wipe yourself off, sit down in the grass and not the bleachers (on purpose, of course; athletes dont sit in seating apparatuses), take off those hopefully-filthy cleats and slip on these cool-as-hell vintage shoes. I promise they will reinforce your image as an athlete. Did I mention they feel like a foot-rub given by the most beautiful girl in the world? Please, wear these shoes with a sense of honor: be yourself, and for Gods sakes, dont pop your collar.

I bought these shoes because I wanted something I can wear around town and also play soccer with the shoes. Believe me, you are going to wish you did not buy them if you kick a soccer ball with them. I dont know what and "indoor soccer ball" feels like but I tried these shoes on two balls that I have because at first I thought one of the balls that I had was too hevay and hard but it turns out it was the shoes, after kicking 30 yard shots my foot was hurting so I put on my cheap spaldings from walmart and they felt better, now I realize Im going to have to return them and buy some real soccer shoes that are hard so I can kick 30 40 yarders all day long without hurting my foot like I did with these shoes..my email is rickalex21@hotmail.com if you have any comments send me with a subject of "amazon adidas mens sambas" .

Good all around shoe for casual use. Not much in the way of padding or support though. As an avid footballer (soccer) I found this shoe to be inadequate for indoor use for a competitive player. The shoe performs decently for informal pickup games though. The price is just right, and the shoe runs true to size, although it may be to narrow for those with wider feet.

My husband found these when he and my daughter were playing indoor soccer. He just loves them. Wears them everywhere! After 3 years of constant wearing, they started to look a little "worn". I use these shoes for Tai Chi. They are superior to other shoes I have worn for this purpose. They are a bit narrow, so watch out if you have wide feet. Also, Im usually size 9, but these are almost too short. I maybe should have gone for the 9 1/2.

This classic workhorse is functional and affordable. It is well made. Its sizes run pretty true and it seems to adapt to a wider foot more than some of the other brands. The sole is slip-resistant on regular gym hardwood floors so it is a great shoe for indoor soccer. It also is very usable on artificial turf surfaces although other shoes such as the Adidas Copa Mundial turf version provide better traction, at a slightly higher price. All in all a cost-effective, multi-purpose, classicly Adidas-looking shoe.

I bought these shoes for my brother and he absolutely adores them. You cant find them in white in any Adidas store so it was nice that Amazon has it in the right color. That explains the slightly higher price than stores charge for the black color. The size is true to fit and it looks just like in the picture. You cant go wrong with a classic like this.

The shoes that I ordered fit great. I have yet to play indoor (or any) soccer in them but Id imagine they work great because they are reminiscent of martial arts shoes, which is what I use them for. There is one thing, these shoes are pretty squeaky once you break them in so dont expect to be a ninja wearing them.

Ive always prefered Adidas over Nike. Adidas holds up better. This is practically the only Adidas shoe ill wear. I need flat shoes because i dont really have an arch, so normally i buy Converse. I wear these shoes both for work and when Im playing soccer on asphalt or indoor. they feel really comfortable and are very easy to clean with little to no damage to the material. I would recommend it for people with narrow feet because they felt small for me since I have wide feet, though it only took a few days to stretch the material for comfy wearing.
I think I might get the white ones as well, would def make a great gift for your footballing friend(s)!

I just bought pair yesterday and I am still ecstatic from how great they are!!! They look fantastic, and with the classic black/white combo, you cant go wrong. They go with most everything!!! But most importantly, they feel wonderful on your feet. A shoe is just not worth buying without comfort, and these are decently comfortable shoes. I would defintely recommend to any that are interested in a decent pair of good sneakers.

These are true classics. I remember not liking them when they first came out decades ago, but I cant remember why. Anyway, the shoes are really comfortable and fit true to size. I saw these Sambas online and was a bit skeptical... but I know my shoe size in adidas because I have other pairs so I thought what the heck and bought em.

Dude, this is the classic shoe. Well, not THE classic shoe, but its versatile and it looks good with jeans. Its a good alternative to a pair of Pumas, its good in the rain. I guess you can play indoor soccer with it. But, its just a good all-around shoe and it being cheap is irrelevant.

The Adidas Samba has been a great shoe for as long as I can remember. This is easily my fourth pair over the years because these things wear like iron and last forever. My last pair were falling apart after several seasons of indoor soccer and general usage. The only way I could bring myself to throw them away was to buy a new pair. I recommend this shoe to anyone who is looking for grip on turf or a comfortable shoe for any sports activity.

The problem I have with this purchase does not involve the product, but rather the company that I purchased them from. I had these shoes sent to my son as a gift. Unfortunately, they were shipped with the ink-filled security button still in place, so he was unable to wear them, and since they were an online order item, it has been an extreme inconvenience to make a return. The company sent another pair of shoe with the instructions that they would also send a pre-paid mailing label, so my son could return the original pair. When I spoke to my son last week, he had not yet received the return label. I am waiting now to see if my credit card has been billed twice for this item. I am very unhappy with this purchase.

It is a cheap soccer shoe with little support. the tongue extends about 1" past the last lacing hole and digs into your ankle, one inch is also not enough for it to be bent back over the laces so it is sufficiently awkward and was enough for me to return the shoe. unfortunately no free returns so ill be shopping elsewhere for my indoor soccer shoes. typically i wear a size 13, however these were about a size too large on me so id wear a 12 in this shoe. i have a pair of asics running sheos, lotto cleats and new balance cross trainers that are all 13.

I found these shoes by searching the womens option for running shoes. The name may say Unisex, but there is no indication that the sizing is 100% male. Not even a note stating that a woman should subtract 2 or 3 or 10 sizes from her normal shoe size.
When the shoes arrived here, they were huge. I tried to return them, but Amazon considers this to be MY fault, and planned to charge back any shipping, promotions and coupons against a possible refund. I had done very well using a coupon, a sale, a "buy $80 worth of shoes and get $20 off instantly" promotion and Amazon prime, so my "refund" would be less than nothing.
Thats right -- if I return the shoes, I owe money. Because Amazon made no mention that shoes found in the womens section of the site might be mens shoes instead. Yeah, that seems fair.

My mom bought me these shoes over 4 years ago and Ive been wearing them ever since since because my feet stopped growing. Ive really broke in these shoes from conoeing in the Jordan to hiking the Carmel. Finally they started to fall apart after all of this time so I decided to buy a new pair now that Im back in the States. I went to Meijer and found the exact same shoe but I looked closer and saw that the shoe was no longer leather and the strong rubber by the heal was now a soft plasticy foam. I was so dissapointed because I could not bring myself to buy them because I loved these shoes as they were made before.
Ive never heard of the same shoe being made differently for different stores so I looked up the Samba on the Adidas website and here on Amazon and the description of the shoe is the description of the shoe I have been wearing for the past 4 years not the cheap ripoff I saw in Meijer.
I want to hear from anybody who bought these shoes from Amazon if they really are the old style with genuine leather and strong rubber and a good solid sole.

Ive had every color of Adidas Sambas except the blue and the white. I was reluctant to purchase the white because theyre bright, large-looking, and get dirty too easily. But now that Ive purchased these, Im so impressed! These white Sambas are unique and stylish, definitely suitable for casual or athletic activities.

I returned the shoes for the correct size. Please advise the status of replacing them.

I bought these sneakers as a gift for my relative in Scotland. He owned a pair of Sambas a long time ago, and were his favorite sneakers, and has been unable to locate a new pair in Scotland.
I couldnt believe the quick delivery of the shoes, definately a good source to buy from. The price was also very reasonable.

These are the same flats I wore playing indoor soccer when I was 10 years old... they were good then, and perfectly functional now. They do seem to be running 0.5 to 1 full size small.

The shoes arrived with a security theft tag on them that said if we tried to break it is would leak ink all over the shoes.
After many attempts to contact Bealls unsuccessfully,they finally responded about two weeks later...too late.
We spend a half an hour but carefully removed the tag. Shoes are great, Bealls is awful.
Not ordering anything from Bealls ever again.

The product was the best. We have always been happy with the Samba product - long lasting and wears well. But the company did not remove the security device attached to the shoe. The device was a very large one that even area stores could not remove. After many attempts, using various items to try to remove it, brute force had to be applied and yes they really do put blue ink in them to deter theft. The sneakers did indeed get the ink on them and so did the surrounding area!!! So much for new shoes!!

This is the shoe to get if you like to feel the road under your feet without the blisters. This shoe is like walking barefoot, without the cuts and soreness. This is my favorite shoe of all time. Ive bought about 4 pairs to date.

All right, Ive become my father. When my late father would discover a product he liked, hed buy it over and over and over again. He even did it with shoes...he went through what must have been three straight pairs of Frank Thomas Reebok Big Hurts.
Well, Im on my third straight pair of Samba Classics and I dont honestly know what would make me stop going back to them. Theyre comfortable, easy to break in, durable (the whole outsole is gum rubber, rather than a little bit of tread pasted to foam as on most shoes), and pretty cool, too.
I dont actually play soccer, so I cant speak to their usefulness for their intended purpose, but I will say that when I was a kid, all my classmates who were into soccer wore Sambas, so I guess that counts for something.

OK, I have to admit to having a shoe problem, anyone will tell you this, afterall, I have almost forty pair. But these shoes are great. I bought these to replace a pair I have worn out, and that never happens with shoes cause I never keep them that long. So comfortable, I wear them all the time. The price was great, cause I never find them on sale. I am looking forward to ordering the white with black stripes as well. And I will most likely be ordering another pair of these for the future. Buy yourself a pair, totally worth every penny.

I really like these shoes, with the classic black w/ white Adidas pattern and the easy maintenence suede toe. I am a size 12, which is what I ordered, but later I noticed that my big toe was touching uncomfotably. HINT: ORDER A BIGGER SIZE

These shoes are not great! Uncomfortable and dont fit like normal shoes. The classic black-and-white goes with anything, but when you feel like your feet are bound up with ropes, who cares? Try them out and you will get mad.

I have to admit that I bought a pair of these on the name alone. Not adidas but Samba. Anything that evokes the spirit of Latin flair and mysterious rythym is sure to get my attention. Though perhaps a litle understated in their plain black and white design they certainly do the job. I doubt you could do better for a pair of retro-styled trainers.
My pair were of undoubted quality but I noticed a small irritating rubbing on my toes during the first days of wear. I investigated inside the shoe and to my surprise I found that a small note had been wedged into the roof of the trainer. The handwriting was obviously not in English script and appeared rather hastily drawn. I thought I recognised some of the wording as chinese and so consulted Mr Fong my local caterer. He told me that good manners prevented him from giving a direct translation but it had something to do with inserting the footwear into a bodily orifice rather than wearing them on my feet. To be honest I have had my share of experiences with disgruntled employees so I paid it little heed, and got on with enjoying these superb trainers that somebody has obviously lovingly hand crafted.

if you are looking at these to by, dont look eny were else. i have these shoes and they stay lookin good, and they dont rip or teer. by these shoes!!! u will find no better shoes for this price

I have worn the Samba Classic since I played indoor soccer at college. No other shoe is as comfortable, long wearing or light as these awesome addidas! Why dont you have a pair?

The original reason I bought the Samba sneakers was for the looks. They are very old-school looking. I was surprised at the low low price. I purchased the Kids ones because I have feet too small for mens sizes. These shoes are comfortable, stylish and long lasting! I highly recommend these cool kicks.

Indoor soccer shoes come and go but the Samba goes on forever. This shoe design has been around since the 1980s. There are hard-wearing shoes; the soles have great grip and wont wear down easily. The felt toe makes this a longlasting shoe with strength where its needed most. The stitching will last and last. But the Sambas greatest asset is its comfort. Great for outdoors, too.
