I had old cheap plastic shower shoes that I bought at the dollar store, but they kept falling apart after like a month! I spent 20$ on these, and they seem to be holding up pretty good. I only wear them for like 10 minutes a day while Im in the locker room at the gym and while showering. The nubs are pretty comfy on the feet. Theyve softened up a bit, and arent as stiff. I only gave them 4 stars because Ive only been using them for a month. The true test will be two years down the road to see if theyre still together!

I ordered (2) pairs off Amazon within a couple months.
I wear sandals almost exclusively and have several brands/pairs ranging from $20 to over $100. (KEEN, MION, TEVA, NIKE, BITE, HHANSEN, cheapies etc)
As others have indicated there is a break-in period with your feet and sandal. They were not comfortable at onset. Soon after both pairs were worn continually outside and I also a dedicated a pair for inside/short trips. At best the were a 6/10 for comfort. They are basically retired.
Reason for early retirement, less than a year later is they both fell apart.
The "MASSAGE NUMBS" literally fall off at the base of footbed. Leaving an uneven surface and "MASSAGE NUMB" carcasses all over the place. Having hardwood floors this is very noticeable and annoying. The feel of the sandals on my feet now with the uneven wear is also annoying! I cant believe these are still on the market. My price was substantially less than what they are now listed. I got both less than year ago. Will not purchase any protruding numb massage sandals again. But Im glad I didnt invest too much $$ into them. Just time wasted on breaking them in and picking up the sandal litter on the floors =(.

I have had these massage sandals by a few different manufacturers ... the little nubs on these which are what massage your soles... started breaking within a few days of wearing them.. I have had some that lasted a year before breaking down... Dont buy these!

Adidas makes very nice summer sandals. This is the cheapest that Ive seen. I buy them for my kids every summer...They last all summer and beyond, unlike other sandals. My kids think they are cool too!

I have seen others wear these slides and I know Adidas usually supplies an excellent product. I did read the other reviews that warned of a need for "breaking in" the sole nubs and wearing socks during that process. However, Ive worn these slides for 2+ months and they still make the soles of my feet tender unless I continue to wear socks. I am disappointed in the slide but I will stubbornly continue to wear them. Maybe some day they will be "broken".

Purchased these for my husband. He absolutely loves these sandals. He initially thought the little nubbies would feel strange. However, he got over that thought fast when he slipped them on and went tromping around the yard. He uses them for a quick slip-on shoe to run outdoors. Wears them every day. Thanks for a nice slip-on! Also these are sturdy though very light weight.

Nice pair of slippers with great looks... I love the way they massage the feet when walking... if I had to choose one downfall, I would say they get dirty pretty quickly, and since the massaging spikes are hard to get into, its harder to clean them... otherwise a decent pair of slippers... Id definitely buy another pair in the future

I bought these slides for house slippers based on the other reviews I read. I will give one caution, you may not like them in the first few weeks. The first few times I wore them, my feet were really sore after about an hour or two. I recommend wearing them with socks for a week or so until all the nobbies soften and become more flexible. After this break-period, youll be able to wear them any way you like and youll love how they feel after a long day of wearing shoes.

For a trip to the beach, just down the street, or for a warm outing, these sandals serve
their purpose. First and foremost, the soles massage the feet every step. The sensation
is quite soothing especially when first breaking them in. Even after having these sandals
for longer than a year they still do cushion the feet very well. The addidas brand and
outer design are a blast to wear and show off. Its funny, but true that I actually receive
attention pertaining to a pair of sandals. This pair has the best of both worlds!

When I first got the sandals it was a pain to have on. They have these brissels on the sole of the foot so it was uncomfortable for a couple of days but I guess they softened up and now I wear them like everyday with socks and with out. The are very comfortable and not much else, because they are just sandels. Very good quality too, very durable... A MUST BUY... (If you need sandals)

THESE ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST THINGS i HAVE EVER BOUGHT. SERVES ME RIGHT FOR BY A SANDAL WITHOUT EVER HAVING TRIED IT ON. I WALKED AROUND THE BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE WITH THEM AND BARELY MADE IT HOME THEY HURT THE BOTTOMS OF MY FEET SO BADLY I MAY NEED TO TAKE AN EXTRA DAY OFF OF WORK. THE PART OF THE SANDAL WHERE IT MIGHT NORMALLY BE FLAT AND CUSHIONED HAS SHARPENED PLASTIC SPIKES KNIFING THE SOLE OF YOUR FOOT. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THROW IT RIGHT INTO THE GARBAGE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY OF EVER HAVING WORN THESE SO CALLED SANDALS. AND I LOVE ADIDAS!

These were replacing the same thing so I knew what I was getting.
Pool side they are the greatest sandals or maybe even just lounging around. Adidas makes pretty good stuff.

Ive owned these sandals before, years ago, and had forgotten just how good they felt. Just received a brand new pair today and immediately put them on...and have refused to remove them to slip into another pair of shoes all day! The massage of the nubs felt a bit uncomfortable initially, but Ive had them on for a couple of hours now and my feet have quickly adjusted and the discomfort is now gone. Honest, these are the best sandals Ive ever had and the massage you get when walking is an additional bonus. Cant recall whatever happened to my first pair, but Im sure glad I decided to order new ones. Theyre totally worth it.

My husband only wears these sandals. We had to replace his old ones as they were wore out after 5 years. He loves them and wont even waste money trying any other sandal. For the price, they cant be beat. Also remember that they do have a breaking in process, but once theyve conformed to your foot they are very comfortable.

These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn, and I am on my fourth pair. I wear them literally every day (I dont like to be barefoot in the house). The rubber "nubs" massage your feet with every step, although be warned that they feel a little uncomfortable when first being broken in, as the nubs are a little stiff in the beginning. You could try wearing them with socks at first if they are annoying. I bough a pair for my then-girlfriend and now-wife after she kept stealing them. Interestingly, some of her nubs wore off under the big toe (as another reviewer mentioned), but some of mine have worn off under the lateral foot. I am about 150 lbs and she weighs about 120 lbs. The missing nubs are not noticeable when worn. I dont wear these in public or on concrete, so I cant say they would stand up to outdoor wear, but these slippers have basically resulted in my marriage and everlasting bliss. Recommended.

my life was dull and boring until this sandal arrived in the mail. All other footwear seem inadequate compared to the nubbies! I am just a normal engineer every day, just in love with a beautiful product...

The Adidas Santiossage, its the second generation Adidas massage sandal for active people hanging out between games. Or so they say. Before owning a pair of these sandals myself I had known a couple of people during my elementary schools days who had owned pairs and thoroughly enjoyed their presence. At the time I thought they were just about the coolest sandal you could get. Previously I had been used to semi-hippy parents who liked to wear Birkenstocks with wool socks. So when the time came, and one day I found myself at Sams Outdoor Outfitters shopping for sports apparel, I remembered the fond memory of their image and immediately went to the shoe department. There to my surprise accompanied by a childish grin did I find the object of my desire, the second generation Adidas message sandal. At $26.99 I bought a navy/white pair and went home a happy camper.
Now, after owning the same pair for almost a year, I am still just as happy as I was the day I bought them. Through six weeks of summer baseball training and constant everyday casual house use they have held up as much as expected. At first wear the "messaging nubs" hurt my feet, which to my disappointment was odd. Eventually the nubs wore down to the contour of my feet and the sandals became extremely comfortable. This coupled with the Velcro strap made the sandals excellent casual-lounge-around sandals for me. By now 50% of the message nubs have either worn down or fallen off, this hasnt decreased the comfort of the sandals and is only noticeable to the eye. The Velcro strap is easy and quick to use and adds to the stylishness of the sandals. The plastic "multi surface" soles rarely slip and have cool random engravings on them. Right now these are the only sandals I will wear.
Overview: 4 Stars, Excellent
Pros: Cool Adidas logo look, comfortable Velcro strap, good value, molds to the shape of your feet.
Cons: At first "massaging nubs" hurt your feet, after almost a year of use 50% of the nubs have worn off.
1 star subtracted because Im thinking about replacing the sandals due to nubbage wear.

These are very comfortable after a workout. I like them. The velcro is a little weak however.

Ive had a pair of these for over 5 years, and other than some broken nubs under the big toe, theyre still quite intact. Mind you, thats with heavy use. Yeah, theyre a little uncomfortable during the break-in period, but after that, theyre very nice for wearing around the house or just for wearing around. All in all, theyre an anomalously rugged consumer item, which cannot be said about all of Adidas stuff.
