After purchasing several timers from other manufactuers (namely Taylor and Polder) that I was very dissapointed with due to poor quality, odd features (such as random beeps before the set time was reached) and lack of durability for some components(namely, the displays), I finally stumbled across this item. In short, I wish I had found it first. It is a solid little unit, with a nice display, no random beeps that occur before the countdown is finished, and comes at a reasonable price. Also, the alarm is loud, but not too loud for my taste.
To make a long story short...this one has met my needs quite well.

Its a good product. It is manufactured to beep when entering the amount of time. That might not be necessary for everyone.

We use these timers at our Martial Arts Gym for running our training rounds. Ive been buying these for 3 years now.
The LCD is bigger and the alarm is louder than the timers you can buy in Walmart or other stores.
The alarm is loud enough to hear over the busy gym noise and good for its size.
Very dependable and takes alot of abuse from our instructors.

This was a lot more than my expectation. Only the fact that the alarm didnt sound lound enough for me, it is perfect solution for my needs-meter parking reminder. :)
Magnetic belt clip and tie bring 5 differnt way to keep this around me and I never failed to put coins in the meter.

Great timer for exercises that you count down the time till you finish.

I like the Ultrak timer a lot. I am a teacher at a school where our schedule changes every day. It is great to have the large LCD panel in front of my desk, so that I can easily see exactly how much time I have left in a period. The timer is easy to use and operate. The one feature that would be nice to have would be the abiilty to reset the time without cycling through 99 minutes or 60 seconds. If the Ultrak had a memory for 3-5 set times, it would make the device perfect.
