This is only shin guard my daughter will wear. She loves the custom fit and the breathability of the product. It only takes 20 minutes to custom form the product to your shins! They stay put comfortably for hours. They last several years.

I used to use a shinguard with an ankle protection cuff, but that type got to be unbearably hot during the summer and they began to irritate the skin around my ankles.
The Parker OSi forms to a custom fit that provides a hard shell with a thin breathable layer of perforated foam cushioning. It was easy to get the guards formed to my leg -- the OSi is the same lightweight fiberglass material that is used in casts these days. The low-profile guards are held in place by a lycra compression sleeve, but unlike most models, they also have velcro straps at the top and the bottom to hold them in place. Many of my players have similar styles, but they have to use tape on the outside of their socks to hold their guards in place. I never have a problem with that. Another bonus: I have used these for three years and they have never developed the awful smell that other guards seem to pick up. The straps are getting worn and the velcro is starting to get fuzzy, but the guards are otherwise just as good as the day I got them.
