Alive and Kicking Soccer Book is a great read. It looks at several themes including; what is it like to grow up in England where soccer is such an integral part of society but was largely non-existent here in the US; how has soccer weathered the ups & downs in the growth of professional soccer in the USA; how the game in general has grown from being virtually invisible to "a soccer ball in every garage" and finally, the stories of friendship, established through soccer, that are certain to bring a smile to your face.
I loved the way the book was written in short vignettes, making it easy to pick up for five minutes or a full hour.
I sent a copy to David Beckham, suggesting to him that as an ambassador of the sport, it would be helpful for him to know what his predecessors have done to help the game get to where it is now. Without people like Keith, he would not be here.
Great job Keith!

Keith Binns has written a marvelous, historic and very humours book on how America-particularly, Madison, WI- started its love affair with soccer! A hstory lesson is given to the reader without even being realized due to the humor that is intwined throughout the book. Very well done! I highly reccommend this book to anyone who is feeling down. After reading just the first page your spirit will be lifted!
