I enjoyed this book but did find it somewhat juenille in context. It covers many famous women runners from Wilma Rudolph to Flo Jo and also gives a good history of how women got started in track and field and the barriers they had to overcome. I would like to see a book of this type expanded with more information and history behind some of these great athletes. When I finished this book I donated it to my sons junior high school library.
