I was a little cautious during the first chapter, but this actually turned out to be a great book! The book has some stories of violence, fighting, etc. that you find in other books about football violence. However, it shifts the focus from the crowd control tactics that are detailed in other books, but speaks of the undercover tactics that the police used, and the deceipt and fabricated evidence used to get convicitons. It really shows football violence and its policing as a microcosm of the UKs overall problems with police tactics in every walk of life. As I lived in London when this book takes place and used to go to Chelsea games, I really enjoyed this book for personal reasons!
