I think this is a great story for kids, Especially kids that like soccer. This book is about a young soccer player, named Shane struggling to be good. After a game(that they lost)he wished that he could be better. Shane then saw a pair of glowing cleats in a dumpster. He took them home a put them on, but when he put them on he couldnt get them off. At practice the next practice the cleats made him play better than ever. And this was good considering that a big tournament was coming. But these seemingly amazing cleats turn out to be bad. They made Shane kick a ball in his sisters face and trip a teamate. So Shane tries his hardest to get them off and he succedes. Them during the big tournament he was playing bad so he decided to use the cleats,and he fouled someone. Then the cleats took control when he left the stadium. Then he ran into his idle Corky Boyle(pro soccer player)and Corky told Shane about his experience with the soes. He tells Shane that when Shane is ready to take the shoes off then they will come off. Will Shane ever get the cleats off for good. Find out by reading the book.
