My kids (age 5 and 7) love to read this book. The 7-year-old is starting to understand fractions, and both enjoy the story, as do I. The example of cutting oranges is one you can do at home to show that 1/2 is bigger than 1/4, and 2 fourths = 1 half.
Its a bit annoying to me that they messed up the pictures -- one of the kids, Kate, has red/blond hair at the beginning and black hair later. Im assuming that hair dye wasnt part of the story. Still, overall, its a very good book!
