I bought countless sigg bottles for my kids over the last 8 years. I spent the extra money for their safety. Then I find out that the bottles are not safe and the company lied. Never will I buy from or trust this company again. I cringe at the thousands of times I filled these bottles and gave them to all my kids. By the way Whole foods market will take back all recalled Sigg bottles and give you store credit. No receipt required.

I have a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old. The older one hates drinking water and the youngest was a hard-core will not give up her baby bottle toddler. I bought them each a SIGG and solved 2 problems at once. The 5 yr old will now drink water as long as it is in her cool Hello Kitty pink SIGG, and the younger one realized her baby bottle was not as cool as the SIGG is. I also bought one for myself and use it at the gym or keep it in the car for longer trips.
There was a recent story on SIGG containing BPAs. This is if they were manufactured before August 2008. The new liners do not have the BPA in them. On: 2009-11-20
Now that I know SIGG knowingly lied to consumers (including me in an email exchange I had with the company) about BPA in their bottles, I would NEVER BUY A SIGG AGAIN. I purchased a SIGG for the same reasons I purchase organic food, I thought it was safer for my children. But SIGG betrayed that trust. The company DID put BPA in its liners and lied to all of us. In fact, Ive contacted the firm Caddell & Chapman about the class action lawsuit. I bought a SIGG to be safe and they deceived and lied to make more money. Now all they will offer is to exchange my BPA bottle for a new one. Oh, ya, sure, I trust you now. Just give me a new bottle. I want my money back and Ill hope that my kids were not affected by the BPA you snuck into the bottle. What a bunch of jerks!

This is the most expensive water bottle I have ever bought. My son loves it at the first sight. Its light weight, has attractive design. The drawbacks are: it takes a few more turns to open/close the bottle cap than regualr bottles. The on/off gadget at the top is a bit tight for my son. He complained for the first a few use, later he got used to it. On: 2009-09-10
Stamford, CT: A trendy metal water bottle that cashed in over BPA Bisphenol concerns in plastic bottles appears to have a BPA products scandal of its own. Sigg, the maker of metal personal water bottles that are sold in 15,000 stores worldwide, recently admitted that bottles manufactured prior to August of last year featured an inner liner that contained trace amounts of Bisphenol A.
Water BottlesThe latter is a compound widely used in plastic food containers and canned food linings. Environmental and health experts have raised the red flag over BPA in recent years over the association of BPA with cancer. Initial concern with regard to plastic baby bottles containing BPA, has mushroomed to include the entire population.
Many US states have considered regulating, or banning BPA outright.
When the BPA debate heated up Sigg was already there with its high-end metal water bottle, and consumers gravitated to the product with the mistaken assumption that a metal bottle (an alternative to plastic) was safer.
It is alleged that Sigg did little to dispel the myth that bottles manufactured prior to August of last year contained trace amounts of BPA in the liner. "They were aggressive in responding to anyone that said they did [have BPA]," said Jeremiah McNichols, co-editor and publisher of the blog Z Recommends, which targets parents.
"(Responses were) very cleverly constructed to look like it was a denial that BPA was in the product, but it wasnt."
Elaine Shannon, editor in chief at the Environmental Working Group, said "Americans want transparency, and this company doesnt seem to understand that." The comments appeared in the August 31st edition of Advertising Age.
It has been revealed that Sigg began working on a BPA-free liner in 2006 and invested about US $1 million to produce its BPA-free EcoCare bottle liner. None of this activity, it is alleged, was ever articulated to a consumer thinking Sigg metal bottles were already free of BPA.
Sigg defended its position, saying that the debate in its view was about the potential for leaching of BPA, not the presence of BPA itself. It has been reported that Siggs bottles present 0 percent leaching.
"I believe that the BPA conversation has changed dramatically in the last 12 months," Sigg CEO Steve Wasik said in an undated letter recently posted on the Sigg website. "Last year, the primary concern was that of BPA leaching from bottles. Since that time the dialogue has evolved such that now some people are concerned about the mere presence of BPA and some states are considering legislation."
The letter was summarized in Mondays editon of Advertising Age. On: 2009-09-01
I was an avid Sigg user and bought 5 of these for my son who has used them since he was 1 yrs old. I invested in them due to my concerns about plastic and BPAs. Well, it was just released that SIGG BOTTLES CONTAIN BPAS. The CEO of the company is saying he never claimed the product did not have BPas in them but instead said they did not "leach BPAs". I read in 2007 a letter in which he said the product was made with no BPAs or other harmful chemicals. At that time, they were very aware that their product WAS MADE WITH BPAS! Now, the new "safe" Sigg bottle without BPAs have a new epoxy liner. The liner on my sons 1 month old bottle is peeling off where the cap screws on. The Sigg website states that the liner will never peel, but when I went to my local store they had other returns where the liner is peeling. The old Sigg bottles have BPA in the liner and the new ones are peeling epoxy that children are then ingesting! I am returning ALL my old Sigg bottles and going to stainless steel- easy and no weird epoxy liner that may have chemicals in it. Shame on Sigg for convincing parents to switch from plastic when they lined their own products with BPAs! Klean Kanteen and Crocodile Creek have great alternatives. Please look up this info online and do your research! On: 2009-08-24
My kids all have sigg water bottles. We love them cause they leak a lot less, the kids have to work at making them leak. :) Which means less mess for us to clean up!
On: 2009-08-24
I really like this bottle -- its my second Sigg of this type.
Pretty simple, really, holds water and the sport top is convenient. No idea why it costs almost $20 . . . it lost one star from me for value.
Unlike most of the others in this market, this brand is not made in China. Because of so many reports of um, irregularities in product production there, weve decided to avoid any Chinese made products that are part of the ingestion process. So, no foods and no products used to serve food. Clothing is a concern as well since its directly on skin. Until they get control of pollution in factory zones, we suggest others to think about that as well. On: 2009-06-29
Weve used this for WELL over a year and its still in good shape! Picture intact and nothing broken, he uses it every day for school for milk. If they would just make these insulated itd be PERFECT! The money saved in disposable drink purchases at school has paid for it many times over..Would buy again and again. Clean with a bottle brush and run in dishwasher and its fine. On: 2009-06-20
Its easy for my kids to use (4 and 5). They can unscrew the top and close it so it doesnt spill. Its durable, safe, fairly easy to take apart and clean, and the kids loved picking out their personal water bottle. On: 2009-04-20
I love these Sigg bottles. They are made to safely contain drinking water and I trust them. (Lately, its difficult to trust most eating and drinking containers.) The designs are okay; my 3- and 5-year-olds are pretty content with them. Their friends admire them, and their parents inquire about them a lot. Ive given some as gifts.
I didnt give it 5 stars because these cant go in the dishwasher. I dont know that they will ever be able to, but this is a major drawback for me because I practically scald my hands trying to soap and rinse them out. The top has a few different parts that should be dissasembled fairly frequently.
One last drawback--the piece of plastic that connects the round part of the top to the black twisting part is pretty thin. My brother works at REI and he said a lot of people come in for replacements, which are very difficult to find.
But still, I really, really like this water bottle (we have 4 for the kids and a few for the grown-ups) and I will buy more to have on hand (because of the washing issue). And FWIW, none of mine has broken. A couple small dents, but nothing else. On: 2009-04-18
This bottle is very well made. My daughter chose the yellow one, and it has lasted over a year without issue. The cap is very nice to use and doesnt leak, and it is very lightweight. This is much more durable than the thermos type of straw spout bottles. I used to go through 2-3 of those bottles a year, because they would crack if dropped. I agree with the reviewer that said that the bottle sweats with cold drinks and conducts the energy. I use it in my daughters insulated lunch pack and use an ice pack to keep things cool. I did notice that this bottle didnt heat up as much if left in the car in the heat as the thermos bottle did. Not sure why. On: 2009-04-17
After trying without any success to find a decent water/milk bottle for my kindergartener to take in his school lunches, someone suggested Sigg to me. What a great purchase! The size fits into his lunchbox, its very easy to clean, never leaks, and its pretty well insulated. The only reason I wouldnt give it 5 stars is that it does warm up noticeably by the end of the school day, and ideally Id like something that will stay cooler longer. But there were a few things I was really looking for: no straws (too hard to get sanitary), wont leak, easy for a kindergartener to open and close, and at least a little insulated. I was initially daunted by the price, which was higher than the several bottles I had purchased previously. But then I realized I had already spent at least this much, on bottles that hadnt worked out. And now I have a water bottle he can use for years to come! On: 2009-04-01
Most physicians would not recommend using aluminum bottles, especially for children. The aluminum can leach into the water. There has been research done pointing to a link between aluminum use and Alzheimers Disease. Remember the supposed link between heavy metals and autism that had "concerned mothers" everywhere declining important vaccinations?? Aluminum is a heavy metal.
Having a Sigg bottle hanging from your Bug-a-boo does not make you the coolest mommy in the suburb, it makes you a sheeple.
Opt for safer stainless steel. On: 2009-03-10
I love the Sigg water bottles, and this one is no exception. It is a perfect size to take to school in my bookbag. I have 3 Sigg bottles now and I love every single one of them. If you dont own one, get one! They are totally worth the extra cost. On: 2009-03-03
Really like this bottle for my daughter. Shes dropped and it didnt even put a scratch on it. Its also very light and really keeps her water cold for a long period. Very happy with this one! On: 2009-01-16
My family has a collection of Sigg water bottles including two kids bottles. My daughter loves hers and although she cant open the spout herself (at 2 years) she was able to explain to an adult how to do it. Her bottles have survived all kinds of abuse and despite being dented theyre still as useful as the first day we bought them
The only negatives: theyre expensive and the cap is fairly flimsy and easy to break. Otherwise this would be a 5-star product. On: 2008-11-09
I bought this bottle so that my son can take it to school and he loves it! Turned out that a lot of his classmates also have SIGG bottles. Very light-weight, easy to drink from, and easy to clean. On: 2008-11-08
A bottle that has no insulation. A bottle which opening is so small that cleaning thoroughly isnt possible. What are you people smoking?! The flowery patterns are really THAT attractive? Swiss-made really sounds THAT impressive? Have you heard of stickers? Recreate those pretty patterns on any bottle if patterns matter to you that much. This totally-flawed product shouldnt be on the market after 1950s... On: 2008-10-21
STOP BUYING THOSE WASTEFUL, EXPENSIVE JUICE BOXES FILLED WITH SUGARY CRAP ... BUY ONE OF THESE INSTEAD, PUT GOOD STUFF IN IT FOR YOUR CHILD AND REUSE IT.
Sigg has upgraded the protective cap on their products - making it more of a flip top with an actual hinge than a plastic tab that tended to break. Kudos to company for making this improvement.

I purchased this item to pour soft drinks in but found the Sigg bottle does not hold cold drinks or carbonation well even after leaving an empty Sigg bottle in the refrigerator for several days. The advertising does not claim it keeps drinks cold, but I assumed if they advertised to use it for carbonated drinks it would keep them cold and fizzy. A cold soda can kept the soft drink colder and stayed fizzer longer - I tested it. OTHERWISE the container is cute, and works well. Just dont expect it to act as a cooler. I bought a second Sigg bottle as a gift for a child to use as a sippy cup and the little girl wont put it down - the mother appreciates the gift b/c she no longer wants to have daughter drinking out of plastic or cardboard - FOR that reason alone they are worth it - just keep it out of the sun, it warms up in the heat quickly. On: 2008-09-12
Okay, we all agree the Sigg bottles are terrific. They are fun, and because of the variety of graphics everyone always knows whose is whose. The water tastes GREAT, the tops really are leak proof, and you and your kids will love them. HOWEVER the smallest size bottle is just too small, even for a young child. If you are putting this in a lunch box and need the small size so it will fit, okay, but otherwise, even my three year old found the small childrens size useless, and he has no problems drinking from the larger ones. Really THINK about how little .4 or .3 liters is before deciding that this bottle holds enough water for your little ones. I ditched all the small ones and bought the mid sized adult ones for my kids. On: 2008-09-06
Apparently I have a kids one?! Anyway, I love the design (whispering meadows) and that they are toxin free, can hold many different types of beverages, and sturdy. Its very easy to clean with a bottle brush. My baby wont drink water out of a sippy cup or her bottle, but she loves my water bottle! On: 2008-09-01
SIGG quality stuff, but seems a bit large to stuff in my daughters lunch box. On: 2008-08-17
Chose this because of all the plastic scares. Like it for me. Bought several for my kids. Very expensive. I act like a maniac making sure that they come home from school or camp with their bottles. Easily ding, dent, chip and scratch when they are dropped. Both my 2 & 4yos have trouble opening the twist top. The bottle cap breaks off easily. This seems like a product not designed for kids but retrofitted to meet a new market. We all do like the fun graphics and sophisticated look. On: 2008-08-12
I guess Ill be the "Debby Downer" on this product. In theory, this water bottle is great. But in practicality - not so much. Maybe mine was not put together properly. I got my son a kid water bottle (not cheap by the way) and on the first outing to the park he dropped it on the foamy cushy floor and the lid broke off. I wish you good luck with this product if you get it but know not to let it fall to the ground. On: 2008-07-27
Bought this for my 3 1/2 year old son, so that he isnt using a plastic sippy cup. Works great, but the very first time we used it he dropped it and guess what? It dents soooo easy. Easily damaged and not likely to stay so pretty after a little boy uses it. I wish it was a little more durable. On: 2008-07-18
I bought this water bottle for my 4-year-old son. His school requires each kid bring a bottle of water every day for outdoor use. This is actually his 4th water bottle in one year. I like this water bottle because it is safe for kids comparing to plastic bottles. It comes with a lid and is spill-proof which makes it more sanitary to use. For the first couple of weeks, my son needed a little help twist the top sipping part (it needs to be twisted to let the water come out). After a while, it became easier for him to twist and now he can use it all by himself. So far, it has been a great water bottle! On: 2008-07-07
I love this product. I got the Funny Rex model for my 2-1/2 year old son and he loves it! Its cute, its convenient and its recyclable...love it! On: 2008-07-05
Great non toxic drinking option. My two girls (3 and 17 months) love to drink from these bottles, so they actually stay hydrated. The only downside is that they will dent when dropped. This does not affect perfomance, just appearance. On: 2008-06-29
This light weight water bottle is just the right size for my 4-6 year olds. We took these on a long car trip. The kids were able to properly use them and they saved many spills. I would recommend these. On: 2008-06-25
I love Sigg bottles. The .4L bottle is perfect for my preschoolers, and with a little practice, they got the hang of opening and closing it. The bottle fits nicely into their lunch boxes, but doesnt weigh it down too much. On: 2008-06-18
My toddler loves it, its very cute and keeps the water cold for very long time. On: 2008-06-16
These are nice little bottles. I only wish you could freeze them to keep the contents colder longer. I also recommend purchasing the neoprene cover as these bottles do sweat and the covers easily attach the bottle to a bookbag, stroller, diaper bag, etc. On: 2008-06-11
We generally are happy with our Sigg bottles, however, the bottles are not insulated, so if you put something cold in them, the bottle becomes very cold to the touch. My kids often complain about this. We have other stainless steel bottles that are insulated on the outside that the kids definately prefer. Also, the opening of the Sigg bottles is very small which makes it difficult to clean thoroughly. On: 2008-06-08
My 7-year-old daughter absolutely adores her new water bottle! The picture does not do this justice. The graphics are very pretty. It is well made and everything both this mom and a "girly" girl could want. On: 2008-06-07
I purchased this for my 22-month old after learning that most of his sippy cups were made from materials containing harmful BPA. I like this product because it is lightweight and keeps drinks cold. I dont like, but overlook the following: the protective over-cap broke off after 2 days of typical handling by a toddler and liquid leaks out from the drinking spout if bottle is on its side (when drinking spout is in open position). Overall, I like this product and my toddler enjoys drinking out of it. I recommend getting the Sigg Bottle Grip(especially for smaller children). On: 2008-06-03
The kids bottles are great for toddlers that are used to using sports caps. If your kid is used to using a zippy staw they will not like this. On: 2008-06-02
i like the product, the colorful design you cannot compare to the plastic sippy cups. the only thing i didnt like is that it isnt spill proof all the time, you have to close (twist motion) for it to be spill proof. very easy to take apart and wash spout and my 2yo loves it.its his favoorite cup doesnt even ask for superhero cup now. On: 2008-05-27
This is a great product - clearly for the health-safety reasons. The only thing to get used to is that this is not a regular "leak-proof" sippy cup. It will leak, profusely, if left on its side. For older kids, they can likely learn to remember to close it, but for young preschoolers, thats not so easy. On: 2008-05-27
We were searching for BHP free sippy cups, and bought this as an on-line review commended the product, while also listing some negatives. Overall I find ups are more than making up for what I find as some very minor downs. On: 2008-05-25
Nice bpa-free bottle. Not too heavy or hard to clean. The kids love the bright colors and patterns available. On: 2008-05-25
I got this Sigg bottle for my 4 dogs when we go to the dog park. It keeps the water cool, is very tough, clean, and doesnt leak! I bought a bigger size for myself and love it!! Best of all, the water tastes like water, and its very durable! On: 2008-05-22
After all the craziness with all the plastic cups, I did a lot of research and choose to get my boys some metal drink bottles! I found these Sigg Bottles to be both cute and healthy! My big boys...3.5yrs and 6yrs old got to pick the designs that they wanted (Captain Sharky and Little Soccer Star, respectively). The twist open sport spout is perfect for both my boys to open and close all by themselves! Plus the covered cap is nice for keeping the spout clean! No dings or dents yet and YES they have been dropped!!
I did have to buy a bottle brush to make sure that they were cleaned out well after juice has been in them, especially since they are not suggested to put in the dishwasher! They say the paint will come off if you use a dishwasher! My younger son "lost" his bottle half full of diluted juice for 2 weeks. It was easily washed and cleaned with a few good soaking of HOT soapy water and and some scrubs with a baby bottle brush! Smells fresh and clean. He was so happy to have his "Captain Skarky" back!!!
These are their favorite cups/bottles that they have!! On: 2008-05-19
My kid absolutely loved this bottle, and I do too. The parts are easy to clean--the sipping part comes apart for better cleaning, so no gunk can get build up on it (have you seen your water bottle sipper?)
The only complaint was there was a slight dent when the bottle arrived, but you have to really check to see it. (thats why it got 4 stars instead of 5) Nevertheless, its lightweight and a definite, better choice than the polycarbonate bottles. On: 2008-05-15
I wanted to find a water bottle for my daughter to take to school instead of buying water in a bottle. She loves using this one! It fits neatly in her lunch box and she knows she is doing her part to save the planet. Easy to clean and light. Wed recommend it highly! On: 2008-05-12
We ordered some kid Sigg bottles when the BPA free recommendations first came out. I like that the water stays pretty cold and doesnt taste funny but they are either open or closed and when you hand a toddler it open it end up all over them. I have had to change my sons clothes twice because he had it with him in the car seat open and it leaked everywhere. I like the adult version with the sports top better i think. You have to push down a little with your lips to drink and my 20 month old almost has the hang of it. Then when thrown in the stroller or car seat it doesnt seem as likely to leak. BUT, now that camelbak has their full line of waterbottles with sippy spouts on them in BPA free we are back to those being our favorite for our son. On: 2008-05-09
Weve been using these water bottles for 2 years now and have been thrilled. The down side first: You cant freeze them and if you kick them around enough the paint will come off. I also wouldnt recommend putting them in the dishwasher. That said, they are so cute: many of the parents on my daughters teams have asked about them and gotten them for their own children. I worry about the chemicals in plastic water bottles: especially those that have been left in the sun or stored for a long time. I also worry about the effect on the environment. With these I worry about neither. I havent bought a plastic water bottle in more than 2 years and we used to go through a dozen a week. Each child has his or her own design and I keep them in the door of the fridge to be grabbed for soocer, ballet, trips to the pool, etc. We love them. On: 2008-05-06
We bought a Sigg bottle and a similar one made by Thermos for our child. I like the spout of the sigg bottle better than the built in straw in the Thermos bottle. However, the Sigg bottle conducts the temperatures through to the outside of the bottle (the Thermos one does not). Thus, if we fill it with ice water, the bottle is freezing cold to hold and sweats. If filled with a hot drink the bottle gets hot to the touch. The Thermos bottle seems to have a level of insulation between the inner wall and the outside of the bottle- thus making it much more comfortable for a child to work with. Also, our child had a little trouble with the twisting open/shut of the spout on this bottle and tended to just leave it open, which does lead to leaking..... On: 2008-04-18
My family and I made a conscious decision to stop buying water packaged in non-refillable plastic water bottles. Part of this was environmental and part of this was due to issues w/chemicals leaching from plastics. I bought two of these for my boys (ages 5 1/2 and 3). They loved the designs of the bottles and the ease of use. Additionally, cold water stays VERY cold in them as the aluminum seems to retain the cold even after hours! I would recommend the flip top lid like the soccer ball one (instead of the cap that you twist on) as its much easier to open/close and the lid doesnt get in your way when youre trying to drink from it. I didnt give this a 5 star because of the cost. On: 2008-04-10
No more buying water bottles. This works great and looks like itll last forever. On: 2008-04-04
This Sigg bottle is constructed great and perfect for toddlers. My daughter loves the colorful, fun design and feels like a "big Girl" drinking water from the same kind of cup as her mom! I love that the bottle is not plastic. Its great to take along since the water stays cool and doesnt get a plastic taste when left in the sun or stroller. On: 2008-03-07
My toddler really like this bottle. She can drink from it with ease. I feel better knowing its a safer material. I wish it was spill proof but the little twist lock on the spout seems to do the trick when she takes off with the bottle. On: 2008-02-20
I ordered this bottle for my 1 year old daughter. I wanted something that was not made out of the unsafe plastic, which it is. The drinking spout was too hard for her to open, but if I left it open for her, it was NOT leak-proof at all. So, I ended up ordering myself a Sigg bottle with a different spout (that I switched with hers) that was leak-proof & only had to be pushed in a little with the mouth to drink, which she can do just fine. Another thing is that I did not realize that it would dent so easily when dropped. If you have kids, you know that they drop things A LOT! So this bottle is pretty dented up by now, but still very usable anyway. It is a good bottle for a little older kids though. On: 2008-02-19

This is an upscale designer water bottle, top of the line, and so much fun. The designs Of Siggs water bottles are gorgeous, from the plain, solid color bottles, to the ones with intricate designs. They are simply beautiful! These bottles are the latest 2007 "Natures Bouquet" designs!
I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of health concerns, thinking it would take more work to maintain. These do necessitate regular cleaning (I clean mine every day), but having something so beautiful to drink from makes the cleaning fun. Sort of like my rings, glasses, and watch, I now consider my Sigg personal water bottle a vital accessory, reminding me to drink more water, making a statement about my values, and expressing myself with a special design. Yes, all in a water bottle!
Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. Well water tastes spectacular in these bottles, just like from the tap.
Sigg bottles come with several different types of tops. I bought the screw top because I dont like sports tops, and I dont mind unscrewing the top when I want a drink. It is totally leakproof, which is important to me. The top is pretty and can be hooked onto a carabiner. I get comments on it all the time, "Whats that? I love it!" The sports top version is ok; I just am not a fan, as I dont feel like I can get enough water from the little stream from the sports top. However, for convenience, you might prefer it. For children, there is a cap-type top. All are leak-proof. If you are ever unsatisfied with the top, you can buy a screw top separately to fit your Sigg bottle.
Sigg makes their personal water bottle in .6L and 1L in this style. I have both. I use the .6L for sports activities because they are smaller. When I wont have to carry the container, I like the larger bottle. Sigg also makes a smaller .3L bottle for children that is a perfect size for young people. You can buy Siggs in alternative sizes too, such as .75L, .4L (for kids), .6L, .5L. You can occasionally find this bottle in the 1.5L size, also. Search Amazon for the perfect size.
Pick a style and pattern you like, as this bottle is a personal accessory, and should reflect your style. The colors are vibrant and even prettier than they seem in the pictures on Amazon.
They are expensive, but they are so durable that you can plan on them lasting many years. I consider them both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.
Highly recommended.

They are expensive, but they are so durable that you can plan on them lasting many years. I consider them both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.
Highly recommended.

This is an upscale designer water bottle, top of the line, and so much fun. The designs Of Siggs water bottles are gorgeous, from the plain, solid color bottles (like this one), to others with intricate designs. They are simply beautiful!

We love Sigg bottles! The glow in the dark cap is also a BIG HIT! On: 2008-01-07
I was very hesitant to get these because of the price, but Im glad I tried it. Im so happy to find a safe water bottle-- and it DOESNT LEAK in the lunch box! My 4 and 7 yr olds use these without assistance. The twist-to-open spout was a bit stiff at first, but they can open them easily now. A younger child might have trouble with that type of twist spout without help. The only complaint is the bottle gets really cold, so some sort of holder is helpful. I would definitely buy these again, and hope to get one for myself soon! On: 2007-10-09
I love this water bottle! I feel good that my kids drink out of a non plastic bottle. I like that there is a lining in it so that you can put juice in it. I wish it could go in the dishwasher, but I read that was not recommended. The lid that goes over the sippy part is kind of annoying for the baby but you can take that off. On: 2007-08-27

I have 4 kids ranging in age from 15 to 3. From the oldest to the youngest these cups are a BIG hit. Not only do they love these cups, but I have not seen a sippy cup spill or regular cup spill since we brought these cups into our home. I even plan on letting the school aged kids pack them in their lunch boxes.
They are much safer to use, because of what they are made of. The plastic cups I used to use contained a chemical called Bisphenol-a (this chemical is also contained in the plastic used to make a lot of baby bottles). I was sickened and wanted an alternative. I researched for a long time online, and came to the conclusion that these cups were the best option for us.
Kleen Kanteen was an alternate choice, but #1-they are made in China, and #2-they do not have the water soluble lining that the SIGG does(you do not taste aluminum this way).
Also, cleaning these is a breeze, you just use hot water. We have used apple juice, water, milk, chocolate milk, grape juice etc. and no leaks!
I JUST LOVE THESE CUPS AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY CHILD THAT HAS THE ABILITY TO TWIST THE CAP OPEN AND SHUT. MY 3 YEAR OLD HAS NOT MASTERED THAT YET, SO I WOULD SAY AGE 4 IS MORE APPROPRIATE. On: 2007-08-25
