It's a stop watch     On: 2010-02-01

What can I say... its a stop watch. This is your basic stop watch and works just fine. We have been using ours to do time studies on the production floor and have yet to have any problems with them.
Good for timing rest in between sets.     On: 2010-01-24

Works for me. I just use it to time my rest period in between sets at the gym. I chose this over a wristwatch because I hate lifting weights with stuff on my wrist. This sits comfortably around my neck and the buttons on it are very easy to press. This is perfect if you are looking for something to take to the gym.
Great for keeping up with how long she's practiced her music     On: 2009-12-12

My wife is a professional musician. She uses this stopwatch to keep up with the amount of time she devotes to practicing her music.

She likes the large display and the large buttons that are easy to push. The previous stop watch I purchased for her failed fairly quickly. Hopefully this one will last for a while.
Deceptive warranty     On: 2009-11-27

I received the stopwatch today. On the back of the stopwatch, it says: "Through Mar 2009: free service; Apr 2009-Mar 2013: $10 fee for service; After Mar 2013: $10 fee for service may not be available."

Seems more than deceptive to me. First, it is now November 2009, so Id have to pay for "warranty" no matter what. This means that their 5-year warranty is total nonsense. Second, the stopwatch costs them less than $10 to manufacture, so the "$10 fee for service" is really a new purchase to the manufacturer---they are simply going to take the opportunity to sell you a new one during the so-called warranty period. Third, a "$10 fee for service" is a total rip-off since a new stopwatch could cost you less than $10 if you buy a different brand, buy at the right time, etc.

All in all, while the stopwatch seems ok (as in average, what I expect, etc.), dont be taken in by the claims of a "5-year warranty." There isnt one.
Great basic timer     On: 2009-10-17

I use this for timing speeches in my public speaking class. It is incredibly easy to run and the readout is large and clear. It is durable so when my students take turns being the time keeper, it doesnt matter if the stopwatch falls on the floor or gets banged around. For my needs, this fits the bill.
Stopwatch for boating use     On: 2009-05-26

I purchased this stopwatch for use while on safety patrols with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. We have to time legs for navigation and search patterns for our Search and Rescue mission. Also, since we are not allowed to wear wrist watches or any other jewelry while on patrols for safety reasons, and due to the vibrations and motion of our boats, especially in rough waters, making hard to read a watch, I find that the large numerical display and simplicity of the function buttons, make it a very useful tool for our patrols. Plus with the lanyard I can hang it around my neck and tuck into my life vest.

The only negative was that it took me a while to figure out how to set the time due to lack of instructions and that it is not intuitive.
GOOD STOPWATCH BAD WARRANTY     On: 2009-04-06

For a stopwatch with a five year warranty mine only had about 10 months
left when I got it. Hard to believe this has been sitting on the shelf
for four years. I got it for track which is just starting so I dont
know how good its going to be.
No on/off button, aged when received     On: 2009-04-05

There are two things fundamentally wrong with this stop watch:

1. It doesnt have an on/off button, so it keeps sucking energy from the battery; and it does that
2. from its birth somewhere in a factory and all the time its sitting on Amazon.coms shelf until you receive it.

What that means practically: you receive a stopwatch with a much shorter battery life than what you paid for (this stopwatch is not cheap!). In my case, the stopwatch (judging from the 5-year warranty dates on the back) was already 12 months old by time I received it. Disappointing. I returned the stopwatch and am looking for one with an on/off button. How difficult can that be??
NOTHING BUT HYPE! DOES LESS THAN MOST DIGITAL WATCH     On: 2009-04-03

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007ZOGEO/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

IM TELLING YOU, MOST WRIST DIGITAL WATCHES HAVE MORE. THIS A SINGLE COUNT WATCH, YES YOU CAN SPLIT ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR TRULY WHAT YOU GET! HONEST ! IT DOESNT COUNT DOWN, NOTHING AUDIBLE ON IT.
Cannot review split times - Useless for swimming     On: 2009-02-15

This is a perfectly good stopwatch - if all you want to do is note your finish time, or note 1/2 finish times. But, if you want to remember split times, youd better have pen and paper handy. Once you restart the watch following a split, there is no way to cycle through and view the split times! So, if youre trying to time multiple swimmers/runners, or if youre trying to record 25/50 split times, this is not the watch for you. Again, no fault of the manufacturer or the reviews - I should have looked more closely at the functions.
Loved this gift     On: 2009-02-12

My husband is a personal trainer and mentioned one day he would like to find a good stopwatch. My husband loves this stopwatch.
I like the stop watch but     On: 2009-02-10

I wish there was some way to turn it off. The display stays on all the time and Im sure the battery would last longer if it could be turned off or go into a sleep mode.
sturdy, big numbers     On: 2009-02-06

This is a sturdy watch with big numbers, which are easy to read in low light conditions. I use it in an environment where I cant have a "beep" every time a button is pressed, so it works well especially well for me.

As has already been mentioned, it has a 5-year warranty. Nice to have that piece of mind.
Stop Watch     On: 2009-02-03

The watch is performing as described - easy to set, easy to use and even fits well in my small hands. It is sturdy and reliable to-date.

The packaging it comes in is a bear to get into, but if thats the worst thing that I can claim as a negative, Im still doing well.
Serviceable...     On: 2009-01-13

Not much you can elaborate on about a stopwatch, but this one does the job.

Numbers are big, bold, and very clear to read; the bright yellow color really does stand out, as well.

Very easy to use, and seems to be extremely durable.
Works well     On: 2009-01-07

Purchased for my husband to use while he trains. Per him, its working great. Hopefully, well still be saying that months from now. If not Ill have to revise my review.
Keeping track is easier     On: 2008-12-30

Bought this for some timed homework excersices and boy is it easier than using a regular watch. Cheap enough, and the kid loves it, times everything now.
nice stopwatch     On: 2008-09-10

This stop watch is easy to see since it has large numbers. You know the buttons are pushed since it has a firm click. It would have been nice if it had a light since I may go to the track at dusk, but I knew it didnt before I purchased it. For the price, this stop watch is worth it with or without a light since I didnt want to pay more than $20 for a stopwatch.
Great watch     On: 2008-08-20

This is a great watch. It doesnt beep which is nice for testing situations and the buttons are nearly impossible to accidentally double click.
Meets My Needs Perfectly     On: 2008-08-18

The ACCUSPLIT Pro meets my needs for lab testing and performance benchmarks. Easy to read digits nd easy to operate.
Solid.     On: 2008-07-09

We bought one of these in blue and one in green to replace 2 cheaper stop watches. (The less expensive stop watches worked fine until they got wet so we were looking for something that was a little water resistant...) Besides being more water resistant this watch has a more substantial feel than the cheap watches (i.e. though smaller, its a little heavier). It has a nice feel in your hand. The ability to catch 2 close finishes for the same event is also a really nice feature, though be aware that if youll want to record the first time before viewing the second time because there is not a way to flip back and forth between them.

We got a green one and a blue one. Both like the blue color better.
Seller: Recreation Supply     On: 2008-04-11

These people "Recreation Supply" aka "Rec Supply" sold me a piece of garbage and refused to refund in full Their sales staff told me what I needed was what I ordered. It was not. Then they said unless I had a written copy of the conversation (since no one would own up to it that they misinformed me earlier) and who I talked to 3 months earlier when I called them about what I needed that they would not take care of this at all. Then they sent me a label to return it with that was suppose to be pre paid but it was not. It was just an address label with restocking fees and any other fees they could come up with when they get it back to charge me. They will give you the wrong information for what you need to order, deny it later, take your money, send you what you do not need, then charge you as much as possible to return it in order to keep your money. DO NOT BUY from this place. If no one buys from them then they cannot do this to you. I will have to use an A-Z Guarantee to get my money back and until they send me a prepaid label and notify UPS to pick this up it will sit in my porch packed and ready for return to them as it was 15 minutes after I got it.
Seller was less than honest and unresponsive     On: 2008-04-06

The stopwatch is great. The seller sent a really old manufacture, so old the 5 year warranty was expired. It was obvious since the manufacturer put the warranty expiration date on the back of the stopwatch. The seller has been unresponsive. I am wondering how long the batteries will last. Be careful who you buy from!
Cronometro     On: 2008-03-25

Great display, tactile-feedback buttons, easy to use. Non-standard battery, poor design on back cover. Minimal instructions.     On: 2008-03-04

Overall, this is a very good product. It is easy to use and looks to be well made and reliable. I got it in yellow so it would stand out. I like the color. I bought it to time tasks on the computer, such how long it takes Windows to reboot (a calendar might be more appropriate), so I wont be timing any track meets. But now that I have it, I just might time the kids in the pool or on their bikes.

As others have said, the buttons have a positive, tactile feedback, like a good keyboard. You will know for sure whether you pushed them. No accidental resets or failure to get the time. The display is large enough for almost anyone to read without glasses. Its not backlit, so you need enough ambient light, but this should normally be the case.

I do have a few complaints. It uses a non-standard battery. By that I mean, not one that I normally stock (AAA or AA). The instructions claim that the battery will last 5 years. I dont know if a AA or AAA would be less durable. If I needed to depend on this for a meet, I would have a second battery on hand.

The design of the back cover is not so good. Its held on by 6 small Phillips screws. This seems like a lot, but maybe thats to provide moisture resistance. Opening the cover is tricky and seems too likely to damage the button mechanism. They mounted part of the button mechanism on the inside top of the back cover. The three buttons have plastic tabs that extend down about 3/4 of an inch into this mechanism. It would be very easy to pull too hard on the top of the back cover and bend or break these tabs. When I started to remove it, it seemed stuck at the top, so I lifted the bottom first and it slid out. This is not mentioned in the instructions. A much better design would be to have the back cover only open over the bottom half where the battery is.

The back cover must also be removed to remove or insert the lanyard. I would prefer a loop through which the lanyard could be threaded. I bet the moisture resistance is reduced, not to mention the threads in the case where the screws go, every time the back cover is removed.

It does not have any sleep / power save function, so the LEDs are visible all the time. I dont know if this shortens battery life much.

The instructions are minimal -- just a piece of cardboard that doubles as the product label.

On the side panel, it says "Save Storage Case" and it shows a picture of a little case partway open. My watch did not come with a case and there is no way to reuse the plastic packaging bubble as a case.

I would suggest that they add a couple of solar cells. I have a cheap calculator from Office Depot that has four small (1" by .25") solar cells. I believe there is also a battery, but the case does not even open to replace it. I have had it 10-12 years and it is still working.

This stopwatch is not perfect, but its pretty good.
Fantastic Stopwatch     On: 2008-01-12

On thing only mentioned briefly in the description - this watch does NOT make a beeping noise when you hit the buttons. It makes a sort of dull click. For those of us looking to use a stopwatch in a quiet environment and an unobtrusive way (Im a stage manager) this is FANTASTIC.
Nice product     On: 2007-12-08

The Pro Survivor is somewhat better than the survivor because it offers extra shock resistance; more water resistance; no fail switches and an extra large display. The XL display was important for me. The watch is simple. It measures minutes, seconds and 1/100 seconds up to 40 minutes, then it only measures hours, minutes and seconds. The time and date features were not important to me. It has a five year warranty without proof of purchase.
stop watch     On: 2007-09-29

Good product
Wish it would hold the split time for later review
Otherwise doew a good job
Large numbers good for older eyes
Excellent EOU, very good value     On: 2007-05-13

I used this Accusplit Pro Survivor stopwatch for much of the track season (coaching Jr. High track). The ease of use was excellent. I really liked the tactal feedback of the buttons -- no doubt when they are pushed. The buttons are warranted for 5 years, and the device is "date coded" so that no receipt is neccessary if you do need to get it fixed.
The display is easy to read, even for my old eyes.
